England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the 2025 Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The trio have been celebrated for their remarkable achievements over the previous year.

Agyemang helped the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the very first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a record-breaking innings.

Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his breakthrough year.

The shortlisted athletes were revealed during a live broadcast on a popular morning radio program.

The champion will be revealed live on the prestigious sports ceremony show on December 18th.

The show will be aired from 19:00 GMT.

Agyemang's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Only 90 days after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to winning the Euros.

She came off the bench to score crucial late equalisers in both the last eight and last four matches.

Her incredible contributions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.

Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the top young European talent.

She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.

Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.

"Being on the shortlist for this award is incredible," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."

Luke Littler

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler kicked off the year in sensational style as - at just 17 years old - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.

He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.

He didn't stop there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the very first time.

At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, smashing the previous record.

"Earning a spot on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a big honour," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a special memory for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."

Perrin's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and surged to prominence with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.

Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.

It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.

Perrin ended up as runner-up in the batting rankings and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm truly honoured to be shortlisted for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it inspires more young females to get into cricket."
