England’s men’s team will initiate their UEFA Euro 2028 adventure at the the home of Manchester City, provided that they attain the expected passage for a championship staged throughout most of the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.

England are planned to play their final two group matches at the national stadium, but, should they win the preliminary round, their round of 16 match would occur at the Newcastle stadium. Securing the runner-up spot would mean starting the playoffs at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The event was launched at an gathering in a London landmark on Wednesday evening. Senior figures from Uefa and the host football associations were heckled as they arrived the location by about 50 pro-Palestine demonstrators, who demanded Israel’s national side to be removed from the sport because of the situation in Gaza.
Signs were displayed with messages stating “Show Israel the red card” and “You are complicit”, while activists called out: “Kick Israel out.”
Tournament Schedule
The first match of Euro 2028 will be held at the the national stadium of Wales in the Welsh capital, on a Friday in June 2028, a fixture that will involve Wales if they secure a place.
Wembley will host the penultimate rounds and the final, which will be staged on July 9, 2028 with a start time at 5:00 PM.
It is expected that an afternoon start, which will also be implemented for Champions League finals from next season, will appeal to family audiences and help reach a more diverse set of viewers.

The Irish team are scheduled to play their first game at the Dublin stadium and Scotland would play similarly at the national stadium of Scotland.
All four host countries’ teams will participate in the qualifying tournament; two guaranteed slots will be held in reserve for any that do not reach the tournament through the standard process.

Aston Villa’s stadium and Spurs’ ground finalize the nine host stadiums. Each one will hold at least one knockout match, with the quarter-finals held at every host’s main arena.
The draw for the qualifiers will be held in Belfast, which was removed as a venue city last year when it emerged Casement Park could not be redeveloped in time, on December 6, 2026.
