Kane achieves his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his desire in going back to the Premier League has diminished and he is prepared to explore a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is currently two years through the four-year agreement he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the transfer window of 2023.
The experienced forward has accumulated an remarkable 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German team, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which represented the maiden important trophy of his notable career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England captain has now indicated that he is no longer as enthusiastic about returning home as he previously was, and would seriously think about lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so goes and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different moments happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five competitions, reaching the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy wait, but now believes it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
