Former British Broadcasting Corporation Consultants Participate in Members of Parliament's Questioning Following Allegations of Partiality in Disclosed Document

Former British Broadcasting Corporation advisers appearing at MPs

We begin with queries from Tory Member of Parliament the panel's head, who chairs the panel.

She opens by offering context to the unauthorized memo authored by Michael Prescott and printed in the Telegraph.

"I do not desire the British Broadcasting Corporation slanting in any particular direction, I simply desire it neutral, unbiased and just," he declares.

When asked whether he believes the BBC is institutionally biased, Prescott replies: "No, I do not. It is important to note, a great deal the British Broadcasting Corporation creates is top-tier - encompassing informative and non-factual content."

However, he continues: "There exists substantial tasks that must be undertaken at the BBC."

Another former external British Broadcasting Corporation adviser examined by the group, Caroline Daniel, states she regards the BBC with great importance and that it operates a "continuous process and active debate" across dynamic and complex subjects.

"Did the BBC willing to have a thorough discussion and debate and implement changes?" she reflects. "In my view, yes they were."
